Vauxhall XE, Ecotec

Another engine we have been involved in for years and is a big favourite of ours for its brutal power and torque delivery is the 16v 2.0L Vauxhall. Well what we can say about this engine apart from at the time when we were involved building and developing them they were awesome. With fantastic racing reliability on the track in their day they blitzed the opposition.

We built and fitted a genuine 260 + bhp engine into a Caterham 7 many years ago and it just blew us (and everything else) away. On a hot day with massive and sticky ACB 10’s we could not get any traction. Even in 6th gear at some 100+ mph the tyres were breaking away as soon as you applied the throttle hard. Wow… Even today we have not driven any Caterham 7 witch had the brutal power delivery of that car.

Having lots of proven specifications for this engine and a vast stock of proven performance parts we will always be happy to be involved with this engine.
